Woo! SInging!

Well I'd just like to throw in a little invitation to all of the members of the family that live on the Main Land (Nate and Bri....you're invited I'm just not sure if its going to happen...) to come watch me sing in the A Cappella choir and the quartet at EA!  Woo!  I'm so relieved to have made quartet!  The auditions were a little scary but once I realized that Mr. Bishop kept me in every single quartet that he tried out I was feeling pretty good.  I'm sure I have some new enemies in choir now but....oh well?  I hope everyone is doing good!

why Why why

Okay so at work there is this guy that is "a suit" he is in the big wigs for the whole food company or whatever. So he has a way of making me want to punch him in the face. Kinda has a whimpy voice too. Like pubrty only went half way. Nice guy...but makes you feel small. So how do you deal with people like this?? Arr one more thing to hate about my job. Good thing I only have to endure his presence every once in a blue moon. But anywhoo...anyone else got crappy people they have to deal with??

my death sentence

So let me tell ya'll about my job. I work in an elementary cafeteria. Yes yes, so anyways there were 3 people: (we are all new) My manager, kinda weird but okay to be around, Myself, and this other lady who makes lunch ladies what they are. So I go into my second day of work, nervous and just..a little overwhelmed, and there is a note on the door that says my manager quit. So that's pretty bad. Not a good thing. I cried. Yes I am a whimp but it was horrible..so lon story short it's been me and the other lady and one of my bosses working at my school. So I start to get the idea that I'm not being paid enough for my job. My feet hurt, I'm worn out.ect.ect. So I decide I want more money and I don't want to be that "Lunch Lady" it hurts my ego. So what if I was the manager? more money, not so much a "lunch lady" I would do money and be the boss of the kitchen. So after only about 4 days of work I've been promoted to Manager. Dream come true? I think not. Stressful. Lots of..."wait what do I do" kind of crap. Lingo I just don't understand. AND it's only $9/hr with a hopeful raise at the end of the 90 day. But I guess usually my position would only get $8 But I am a hard worker :) So I have his new job that is stressfull. And hard to get used to and I don't have enough staff so I pretty much do enough work for 2 every day. And as the picture below shows, I burt myself getting an Extremly hot pan out of the oven. First thing in the morning. What a way to start the day...All in all, I am going to try to stick it out. :( It's really hard to get a job and I do like the schedual I have. So I'll update on how that goes. Today wasn't very fun so right about now I want to quit but...Walk it off right?? hm. BUT on the sunny side, I got my first Piano student!! And a hopeful second soon. So that was a motivator to go put up my flyers that have been sitting in my car for a week. So hopefully that goes good!!
Kameron is out hunting this weekend, bow hunting! He's so excited. He and his brother are staying out over night tonight and than going out all day saturday. I don't know if I want to start the deer head mounting thing though. haha. So anyways life is just going and pushing me along with it! Whoohoo what a ride!

ouch!

Ahn-Yong-Ha-Say-Oh!  It literally means "well doing".  Its just a little saying from here in the land of the morning calm.  Things here are quite awesome.  I just finished a week long drivers course for tactical military vehicles and can now get a Korean drivers license.   Yea for me!  Now I can rent a car in Korea for long distance trips to Busan beach or Daegu when I go to hang at the yo-jah chin-goo's family's house.
Speaking of the yo-jah, I'm sure all of you would like some info, eh?  Her name is Lee Sang Mi, or Sang Mi (Lee is her family name) and she is from a smaller city in Korea called Dong-Daegu or just Daegu.  She is 24 years old and I met her in Uijongbu about 8 months ago.  We have been dating for 3 months and we hit our 100 days mark (a very important day in a Korean relationship) on Sept. 2nd.  I've met her mother and 2 aunts and a cousin and they all like me so far even though I'm a Mee-gook (American) and she is really self conscious of the fact she is Hang-gook (Korean) and thinks you guys won't like her.  But I told her Emily is still in the family so she has nothing to worry about!  Ha Ha, love ya Em!  But seriously, its kinda funny but more funny boo hoo than ha ha.  So help a brother out and please keep an open mind.  It's seriously the happiest I've ever been in my life and I know its because of her.  I'll fill you all in more as time goes by so stay tuned.  I love you guys and miss you!

Hi!

How is everyone? Just got finished reading everyone's blogs. Thanks for the pics! Love the red in the kitchen. I'm thinking of a darker mossy green for the outside of the house. Since you watch so much HGTV, maybe you can tell me what's in???

Talked to Bri today. She's still busy with school, has made a plan to get out of debt, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed...will move home next summer. Bri, is that before or after the reunion?

Nate needs to update the blog and tell everyone about his girl, and attach pics. Sounds pretty serious Nate, we're happy for you.

Katie, is now the manager of the cafeteria. Be sure and tell everyone your experience in getting that position.

Emily is adjusting to school very well. She'll find out Thurs if she made acapella and then will tryout for quartet???

Well, guys, let's all starting adding to the family blog. It's so fun for me to read about you. Love to you all. MOM

College!

Well I survived my first day of college.  Not that EA is much bigger than Thatcher High School.  It was pretty fun getting to see all of the different people?  (Maybe not their no dress code outfits) I've been looking at the same faces everyday since 8th grade!  My schedule is pretty busy...I'm taking 19 credits this semester and then hopefully 21 next semester so I can graduate in May with my AA and then I'll go to NAU through EA and get my secondary education degree in English.  I'll have to finish up a few classes up at NAU so maybe Katie and Kameron will have a little visitor!  I'm very proud of mom, she didn't even cry this morning!  Well I'm sure once I walked out the door she let it out.....but I'm the baby!  It must be pretty traumatic for mom and dad...I bet they feel old.  I guess these next few years are the ones I'm supposed to enjoy the most?  But between working two jobs and school I'm just not sure if I'm going to have the time!!!  Yeah right haha.  Well I hope you're all doing well!  I love you!

Sickkies.......

Yeah, we are all sick. Not really bad, but Cooper came home last night and threw up, and Sadie's throat hurts. So does mine and Mark's. Cade says he feels like crap and Dayton had a pretty bad runny nose yesterday. Today I kept them all home from school and let them sleep in. Of course Wyatt is Mr. Chipper. I hope its just bad colds and dosen't turn into anything worse. We haven't been sick in a long time so I guess we were due. And I'd rather have it all at once than go person to person dragged out over weeks. Now its ust a loooong day at home with all the kids....hopefully they'll just lay around and watch movies. I guess its time to get the clorox wipes out.

Our visit to Utah

Natalie and Jacob

Kam and I in front of the St.George Temple

Us waiting for Traffic to clear up (Kameron has Jelapeno Sunflower seeds in his mouth)

So I posted on my Blog, but I'll give a little update on this one too! We went to Utah this weekend for Kameron's sister's wedding. Way fun! We had a great time. Just lots and lots of driving. A little too much, but all for a good cause. We had fun with family and had a fun time at the temple and taking family pics. I kinda like Utah..wouldn't be a bad place to live. But we'll see where life takes us. Annd, I start work this week! Whoohoo. Hair nets and mac and cheese here I come! Kam got a B in his pre calculus test! Amazing. And the day of the final just happen to be a super long day at work so he only got an hour to study and had to go in his work clothes. But he did really good. So we'll just be sitting around at home until Labor Day weekend. We are going up to a cabin near Heber with Kam's family. Do some fishing. So that's about it. Some of the pics are already on my Blog but what the heck..I'll re-post. How is everyone else doing?!!!!

Heh, kids!

Just got off the phone with Nate, sounds good, and life seems to be going well and even maybe better. Thanks for letting me know you're dating a Korean girl, and life is good. Very happy for you Nate! If you haven't yet, go onto Janel's blog and read about the kids' first day of school. I loved the pic of all the kids, we have those from just about every year too!! As the mom, it brought back a bunch of memories as all of you were growning up. I loved you then, and even more now! Jason and Ava are visiting this weekend. They're going with Nick and Dane to "the pond" this morning. Should be fun! Dad should be home on Sunday night, unless he decides to extend his trip again, NOT! At least it isn't that hot. Hopefully he'll be geared up to work!...or at least get us some work! Well, Jason and I are going to pressure wash the house, so better get dressed and ready. Love to you all. Be safe and happy! Mom

Me again #2

Sorry about that. I pushed some key...??? Anyway, just wanted to tell Katie, Janel and Bri that I went onto your blogs. You had some great pics! But, Bri, really, your language. If I'd been able to, I would have washed your mouth with soap!! Just kidding, but remember, you never know who's reading your blog!! It was fun seeing your homes and hearing about some of your activities. I'm not quite sure how to do pics, but one of these days, I'll figure it out. MOM

Me again

It's Mom

I'm sitting at the computer watching a storm blow in. The lightning is awesome, the mountain is already hidden from view. Just hope we get rain! So fun reading the new blogs. Hope everyone is keeping up and would love to hear from each of you.

Dad is staying in Minnesota another week. He's helping Digger with his windmill. Or, maybe he's just having too much fun and excited to miss one more week of heat. He says the fiddle camp was a real success.

Had a great time at Janel's for Jason's birthday. It was a lot of fun just sitting around visiting. Wish you all could have been there.

Down to Mesa on Monday. Emily has a dentist appt., so we're driving down with her friends to do a little school shopping too And of course, I have to fit work in there somehow.

Well, I'm like Katie and Janel and looking so forward to Thanksgiving. Fall is my favorite season so it's just one more reason to celebrate. And, yes Janel, I'm sure you are excited with more room to party!

Love to you all!
